Commission Our Multi-Protocol Servo Drives With New Starter Kit

We’ve released an innovative new offering for control engineers and programmers looking to master servo drive technology. The CMMT-ST starter kit provides a complete package for learning how to commission and size our multi-protocol family of servo drives — at half the cost of purchasing the components individually.
What’s Included in the Kit?
Each starter kit contains:
- CMMT-ST 300 W servo drive.
- EMMT-ST stepper motor with battery-free multi-turn absolute encoder.
- Motor cable and connectors.
- QR codes linking to essential software tools.
The CMMT-ST servo drive packs impressive functionality, including integrated safe torque off, fast commissioning through the Festo Automation Suite, comprehensive data monitoring and support for dynamic movements. It can control BLDC, stepper and EC motors in a compact design.
The EMMT-ST stepper motor range features absolute encoder options, IP65 protection and an optional holding brake, and it is controlled via a single cable — simplifying your setup and reducing wiring complexity.
Why This Kit Makes Sense for Developers
The starter kit represents a significant value for anyone looking to develop expertise with our servo drive ecosystem. At half the cost of individual components, it removes a major barrier to entry while providing everything you need to begin prototyping and learning.
What truly sets our approach apart is the multi-protocol compatibility and function block support across our entire CMMT servo drive family, ranging from 300 W DC to 12 kW AC. All drives support EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET and Modbus TCP protocols. Simply select your preferred protocol from a dropdown menu during commissioning. And, all CMMT drives use the same function blocks, making them easy to use regardless of the power class needed for your application.
